Welcome to the N8PWM Amateur Radio website.

My name is Craig Sharp. I have been a "Ham" since 1976 originally under the call KA8FHE. I started with my Novice ticket back then and kept it until 2001 when I upgraded to Technician Plus. In October of 2015, I upgraded to General and then Extra in 2017.

Until recently I have been a devoted user of antique equipment, especially Heathkit. I do still have quite a lot of antique equipment, and soon it will be in my new shack. Due to some limitations on my ability to restore equipment, I have moved into current times with more current technology. The change in equipment has afforded me the ability to become more active and become an avid DX chaser.

You will find me on 40 meter JT65 (7076.00) most of the time as my home office is setup to afford me the ability to work and have the system on in the background. By trade, I am a Sr. Unix Systems Engineer / Architect. This carries nicely over into my Ham Radio hobbies and the digital modes have really caught my eye.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to chat sometime on the air. 73 de Craig
